Snow Free Write
Last night there was so much snow at my house it was crazy. The snow was almost up to my knees so by the time I walked from my driveway into my house my shoe was filled to the top with snow. One of the worse things was going outside to clean the snow off my car. It was like finding a needle in a hay stack. There was probably a good foot and a half covering my car. Which makes me thankful to have a big dog because if I had a smaller dog I’d let him outside to go to the bathroom then wait for the snow to melt in order to find him. Which makes me think back to the days before I got my license and my parents had to bring me to work after we got a big storm and we got stuck in the driveway, which wasn’t very good because I had to go in early in order to help the maintenance guy shovel. Whenever I go in early to shovel or do anything other doing dishes in the kitchen it makes me think back to the summer time when I was working during the week on the maintenance team. I did everything from painting peoples apartments to landscaping around the retirement home campus. I loved doing the landscaping because I thought it was fun to mow the lawn and go around with the tractor and trim all of the hedges. Mowing the lawn made me think about my grandpa’s camp because when I was younger my grandpa and I would go to his camp and help him mow the lawn because I loved going to the camp because it was away from everything so you could do whatever you want.
