The greatest time of the year
The time of no worries,
Just fun.
The time when pools are full
And so are the lines at the creemee stands.
The time when your biggest decision is,
Sneakers or flip flops
The time when school,
Is the last thing on your mind.
The time when your homework,
Is to sleep in as long as you can.
The time when air conditioning,
Is your new best friend.
The time when I can finally say,
Thank god it’s summer!
